The World indoor athletics championships 2024: Olympic Style Sports Titles got underway at Emirates Field on Walk 1 in Glasgow, Scotland. A few finals, notably the high jump and shot-put competitions, were place on the first day. Sarah Mitton of Canada, an Olympian in 2020, won gold in the women’s shot put during the first portion of the day’s competition with a season-best throw of 20.22 meters.
Highlights from Indoor World Games 2024: Coleman Shines in Men’s 60m, Crouser Dominates Shot Put
Christian Coleman won the world driving championship in the men’s 60-meter event with a time of 6.41 seconds. Ryan Crouser maintained his domination in the shot put while holding onto the gold with a throw of 22.77 meters. The championship concludes on Sunday, March 3, marking the first major world track and field meet of the year. Athletes are focusing on the Paris Olympic Summer Games and the qualifying meets preceding them. American athletes successfully qualified for the event in February.
